Cyberpunk 2077 - Project Orion
The CD Projekt Red team is already hard at work on the sequel, code name Orion, to their major title, Cyberpunk 2077. Developers have announced that the new game will depart from the Red Engine used in its predecessor and instead utilize the Unreal Engine. This decision hints at a potential collaboration with the Epic Games Store in the future. While there is no confirmed release date and the development process is still in its early stages, several members of the Cyberpunk team have relocated to the Boston office to kick-start the process. The Art Director of the Phantom Liberty DLC mentioned that in Orion, they aim to explore and implement all the ideas that couldn't be realized in the latest DLC. Reflecting on the challenging launch of Cyberpunk 2077, it's likely that the developers are taking a meticulous approach, ensuring thorough testing before the release of the new game. Anticipating a more refined masterpiece, it seems CD Projekt Red is keen on learning from past experiences.
